Presumably the Paymaster's cabin was similar to the First Lieutenant's cabin. It would however have held the container shown at left.

A. M. Treacy joined the Victorian Naval Forces in 1894. He was appointed Assistant Paymaster in 1895 & Paymaster in 1900 which also involved organising the victualling including the receipt and issue of food, clothing soap and tobacco.
