William George Robertson
Engineer
- Born 13 Jan 1854. Son of William Robertson and Annie (nee Milne).
- Enlisted 26 Sep 1870 Engineer, Victorian Navy.
- Engineer 7 January 1890
- Chief Engineer 22 February 1901
- Accidentally drowned on 10 Dec 1910 from HMAS Yarra, aged 52.
William's grandson, Ian Robertson, stated that William was one of the original crew who brought Cerberus out from Britain.

The coroner's conclusion was as follows:-
Having inquired upon the part of our Lord the King when, where, how, and by what means the said William George Robertson came by his death, I say that on the 10th day of December 1910 at sea some eight miles south of Port Phillip Heads whilst in the discharge of his duty on board the destroyer His Majestys [sic] Australian Steamship Yarra William George Robertson fell overboard and was drowned. The fall was due to syncope from heart disease. I find that the death was due to accident.
