Williamstown Naval Depot Men in 1889

The photograph below shows some of the men of the permanent force at the Williamstown Naval Depot in 1889. The men have not only assembled for the photo but also included in the photo a Naval Depot lifebuoy, a torpedo nose cone, and what Peter Webster thinks are either two one pounder quick firing guns or some type of line throwing guns for rescue purposes.
