Private Frank R. Morris, of the 7th Battalion, wounded is 36 years of age. He is a son of Mrs. E. Morris, Williamstown road, West Footscray, and the late Lewis Morris, of Melbourne Harbor Trust. He served in the Victorian Navy seven years and with the China contingent in 1900. Wounded at Gallipoli in 1915.

Frank Noonan advises that the Australian War Memorial website states that Frank Richard Morris was a reinforcement to the 5th Battalion AIF.
Private F. R. Morris (wounded), 36 years of age, and the oldest son of Mrs. E. Morris, Williamstown road, West Footscray, and the late Lewis Morris, of the Melbourne Harbour Trust. He was a scholar and cadet at the S.S. No. 258 Footscray. He served in the Victorian Navy for seven years, and was in the China Contingent. The Argus, 8 June 1915
