HMVS Cerberus News
More Cerberus Shells Found
In January 2011, while looking for the local Historical Society, a wrong turn took us up a sidestreet where the shells shown were spotted.
Measurements confirmed that they were common shells of the type used on board Cerberus.
The left shell is an iron studless Mk I common shell and the right shell is a cast steel studless Mk II or Mk III common shell.
The projectiles were owned by Phil and Julie De La Haye who generously donated them to
Friends of the Cerberus
The shells are currently being prepared for display at the
Geelong Maritime Museum
